In addition to custom designing your new home, we now have the technology to provide you with a three dimensional color rendition of your custom designed home as it will appear when finished on your lot. In a rapidly expanding area like Lancaster County, PA, there are some builders that build a lot of new houses every year. Norman Graham decided long ago (and passed along those values to his son), that they would strive to be a profitable company but one that, first and foremost, provided superior quality and customer service.

In order to assure proper service to each client, Norman L. Graham, Inc. limits construction to about 12 homes per year. It's one thing to say, "We are committed to customer service." It's quite another to limit the work you schedule in order to fulfill the commitments you have made to the customers who are counting on you. The company has been successful over the years because of it's reputation. Earning a living has been the reward of work well done, not the primary motivation for being in business.

Norman L. Graham, Inc. employs another strategy to ensure that their commitment to superior customer service is achieved. Rather than subcontracting every job to the lowest bidders, we use the same core group of subcontractors, because of their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. Norman L. Graham, Inc. has taught their employees and loyal group of subcontractors how to meet their high quality standards, so the process flows much more smoothly for the customer. It might not be the least expensive way to build the house, but it assures higher quality.

Norman L. Graham, Inc. builds homes in their custom home communities, as well as building several homes each year on owners' lots throughout the county. The currently active communities are Hartman Station and Timberline Estates. Coming sometime in 2008 is another custom home neighborhood near Ephrata.

About ENERGY STAR^®

An ENERGY STAR Labeled home uses about 30% less energy for heating, cooling, and water heating than a home built to the PA State Energy Code. The reduction in energy use is achieved through improved insulation, advanced windows, tightly sealed air ducts, high efficiency heating and cooling, and reduced air infiltration. The approval process requires an on-site inspection by a certified ENERGY STAR inspector to check the energy efficiency of both the house and the HVAC system. Norman L. Graham contracts with an Energy Star certification company to do all required inspections. At the completion of construction, an infrared camera is used along with a blower door test to verify the energy efficiency of the final product.
